Netball Tournament at Gt Longstone for Y4, 5 & 6 March 16th - Great fun and we scored some goals!!

We had a great time today on World Book Day. The children all came in great costumes. We shared our favourite books with our reading buddies, then each of the teachers shared some of their favourite picture books. We went to the village hall and had a parade, so that we could appreciate each others' costumes. After that we went back to class and did some fun World Book Day activities. What a fabulous day. Well done for participating everyone. Mrs Anderson.

Young Voices at Sheffield Arena 10.1.17

Since September, our Junior classes have worked incredibly hard to learn all of the songs and dance moves for the Young Voices concert. Yesterday, all of our hard work paid off. We joined in with a mass choir of 5163 children and a host of guest artists to perform at the Sheffield Arena last night. IT WAS AMAZING!

We loved the Urban Strides dancers and the Beatbox Collective. We could not believe that they could make all of those noises with just their mouths! We sang with a great jazz singer, Natalie Williams. We danced and sang our socks off.

As a staff, we were incredibly proud of our children. Their attitude and effort were outstanding. They were full of energy and gave the performance everything they had got. So did the staff!

The children enjoyed the dance off with the parents in the JT remix. Thank you to all of the family and friends who attended. It's great to spot familiar faces in the audience.

I know that today lots of us are very tired, but we created great memories to talk about for a long time. We are already thinking about what the songs might be for next year....

Well done, Team Rowsley. You are all superstars.smiley
