Coronavirus Update 17th March 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

In light of further changes to government advice given yesterday evening, I now need to inform you of the following (again taken directly from the NHS website)

  • If you have symptoms, stay at home for 7 days
  • If you live with other people they should stay at home for 14 days from when the first person got symptoms

If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days If you stay at home together, try to keep away from each other as much as possible

In addition to this, we have been informed this morning that all school swimming lessons and inter school sports competitions have been cancelled until further notice. With this in mind, I have also taken the decision to cancel both of our school Easter services. The Mothers’ Day service at Stanton in Peak has also been cancelled.

Due the fast changing pace of events all further information regarding Coronavirus will be communicated via the school websites; please check your child’s school website daily for any new information.

Please can I assure that, at the moment, life is very much as normal as school; the children are aware of the situation but remain calm.

Thank you for your continued support in these unprecedented times.

Yours sincerely

Caroline Poole

Executive Headteacher
