I am really pleased to be able to inform you that Mrs Anderson’s and Mrs Hewitt’s classrooms are ready, and children have moved back into these rooms today! The anticipated date for the rest of school opening continues to be the end of January. During this remaining time Mrs Hodgson’s class will be taught in the WI room at the Village Hall. Mrs Hodgson will also have a Teaching Assistant with her during the sessions she is based in the Village Hall. Thank you to the teams from Derbyshire County Council for getting to this point so quickly and efficiently.
I also want to express my thanks to our families and community for your continued support for school during the past weeks. It has been challenging time but I continue to be very impressed with the children’s ability to adapt and just get on with things. I also want to say a huge thank you to the staff - they have been amazing and have risen to every challenge presented (and there have been lots!) We are very lucky to have such a resilient and dedicated team; every decision they have made has had the children at the heart of it. I will continue to provide you with updates as the work in school continues to progress.
