As we approach the end of the first week of school closure I just wanted to write a short letter to let you know that we are thinking of you all.
Home schooling seems to be going really well; we love receiving feedback from parents and the children – keep it coming! If you have any problems accessing work, or have any questions relating to the work set, please do not hesitate to contact us on our email addresses. I would also like to know how you feel it is going so please feel free to send me an email.
Rowsley School continues to be open for the children of key workers in the federation. We have 4 or 5 children most days who are taught by staff from both schools. It is amazing how quickly they have adapted to this strange new world but I know that they are missing their friends and the routines of the school day, as I am sure the children are at home.
Please be assured that you are not forgotten and I know that all of the staff are keen to support you in whatever way we can.
I am sure that, like all of our families, you are finding this is a challenging time. My only advice to you is to find a clear routine for your day and to stick to it. I have heard some fantastic stories about children insisting that they have playtime at the usual time and others wearing their PE kits for exercise! We all need to follow the government advice about social distancing; hopefully if we can get this bit right, life can resume more quickly than we dare think.
Please pass on our best wishes to the children – we miss them!
