I hope that you are all well – we continue to think of you all during this difficult time.
Today should have been the last day of term as we finished school for the Easter holidays so I just wanted to wish you all a safe and healthy couple of weeks. School will continue to be open for a few days over the next 2 weeks in order to care for the children of key workers who need our support.
I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for engaging so well with the online work that teachers are setting for your children; it is wonderful to read the comments and to see photos of what they have been doing at home – keep up the good work! Please note that we will not set work in the same way over the next 2 weeks but staff will upload a variety of activities to keep your child busy if they would like to do them. However, these are optional tasks. The usual pattern of work will resume on Monday 20th April.
As always, please feel free to contact me, or your child’s class teacher, if you have any questions or concerns. If you would like to speak to me, I am at Rowsley most days.
This is an extraordinary time for us all and I remain optimistic that we will be back in school sooner than we may think. However, during this time, it is vital that we follow government advice and, wherever possible, stay at home and follow the social distancing directives that we have been given.
Take care of each other.
With very best wishes
Caroline and the teams at Rowsley and Stanton in Peak
