Our Christian Distinctiveness

Peak Tor Federation Vision Statement

As a federation within the Diocese of Derbyshire. We are distinctly Christian in our ethos and outlook and are inclusive to all. Underlying everything we do is Jesus’ commandment that we should love one another as he first loved us. We strive to create an environment where every member of our federation can flourish. We work hard to develop and sustain our school’s Christian distinctiveness. Our Head teacher, school staff and governing body have a clear vision of a school with a distinctive Christian character. We work in close partnership with Father Anthony Kaunhoven and St. Katherine's Church, Rowsley.

Rowsley C of E Primary School Vision Statement

As a community we encourage all our children to flourish into the best version of themselves through our Christian values of respect, compassion, belonging and faith. These are all rooted in love.

“Life in all its fullness.” John 10:10

This vision statement was created after consultation with governors, staff, parents and pupils in May 2021.

Rowsley C of E Primary School Values

Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.  Whilst we teach and live by all Christian values the main values chosen by our stakeholders are as follows:

Love

Respect

Compassion

 Belonging
Faith

Love - "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth."

- Corinthians 13 4:5

Respect - "Do for other people the same things you want them to do for you."

- Matthew 7:12

Compassion -  "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you".

- Ephesians4":32

Belonging - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."

- John 3:16-17

Faith -"For nothing will be impossible with God."

- Luke 1:37
