Outdoor Learning

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold to join us for our Carols in the Community event. We aren't going to let the building work stop us from enjoying Christmas.

Twycross Zoo

What a wonderful day we had at Twycross Zoo. Check out our photos below.

Puddle Jumping, Rainy Fun. Need we say more? The photos say it all!

School Ambassador Programme

We recently started our School's Ambassador Programme and our work towards the John Moir Award. At the start of the week, two of the Peak Park rangers came in to talk to the children about the beauty of our local area.

Session 1 was based in the classroom and we learned about the beauty of the Peak Park. We made posters (images to follow) to help others understand the need to protect our locality.

Session 2 was done completed in the woods. We took our own special treasures and shared them with our peers. We then did some work on the special treasures of the Peak Park. It was a wonderful session and was enjoyed by us all.

This term, we paired up with Stanton-in-the-Peak Primary School to do some exciting forest school work The Little Einsteins went to the woods to build friendships and fires.

Thank you to Mr Sizer who came down to show them how to build a fire using a flint and steel and then he made them hot chocolate with marshmallows!!!

Twinning Event

Sunday June 9th

Many of our children went to Whitworth Park today to welcome the French visitors from the city of Onzain, twinned with Darley Dale. The children sang for the visitors, they sang beautifully and did the school proud. It was lovely to join with other school and musical groups. Well done, Rowsley singers.

The Bunting Cup

We may not have come 1st in the Bunting Cup, but we showed resilience and enthusiasm in abundance! We took place with smiles and great team work. Well done to the Rowsley Rockets! What a wonderful bunch of children.
