Our vision at Rowsley C of E Primary School is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to be the best they can in their PE lessons, sport and active playtimes. Through physical education and sport, we aim to teach our pupils new skills and show them how to improve in a fun, safe and stimulating environment. By providing a wide variety of opportunities both in school and off site, our pupils will become healthy, confident and active young people who are ready for the next stage of their lives. Physical activities based on the Olympic and Paralympic values of determination, respect, friendship, courage, equality, inspiration and excellence will positively impact on whole school improvements in all areas of school.
Please look at our PE overview to find out more about how we build and develop skills and knowledge through the National Curriculum's areas of study. If you have any questions, please contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org

Y2/3 & 4 Interschool Dodgeball
What a blast we had at Bakewell Junior School, competing in the inter school dodgeball tournament and narrowly missing out on a trophy! The children were fabulous and threw themselves into every game (quite literally!). We were so proud of their determination, teamwork and impeccable behaviour. Well done, team Rowsley!
Y5/6 Football 2021
The Y5/6 managed to add another two trophies to our collection at the inter school football event. Not only did they return victorious, they also won the prize for 'most respectful team'. We are delighted by the result and also at the level of teamwork shown. It was fabulous to see the children return smiling, proud of their achievement, and very muddy too!
The children had a fabulous time representing our school at the interschool cross country event and brought back many certificates of achievement. We were extremely proud of the perseverance shown by all!
