Below, are the spelling lists for Y1 and Y2. We have a spelling test every Wednesday morning.

We ask that spellings are practised along side reading, which is expected 5 times a week. Y1 spellings coincide with Little Wandle Phonics and therefore the words that the children are expected to learn include the sounds that we have covered in Phonics during the week. The Y2 spellings are chosen based on a spelling rule. This rule is stated at the top of the list.
